Cold And Cool Colours Art Project!

This is my art that I finished today, the background has bitter, chill and algid colors. The sun is mixed with scorching boiling and stifing hot colours and even cold. Half of the cloud has humid and close colours, and the other half is filled with crisp and glacial cold cool colours. I hope you guys love my art work! 

 

Term 4 Week1

This Term we are learning about art, yesterday we did some Maths about a line graph. We did two types of line graphs, line graphs about Covid and what countries went into lockdown and what countries did not go into lockdown, and one was just about a line graph. The next line graph task was about how much muffins they sold in a day or month, or how much money they made in a day?  Then the next task was a create task, we had to go on a google sheet and create another line graph. We had to create a list of six items that we can put in a line graph, then we had to ask people in the class what they prefer. Our task was to collect all the data we need, and then put it into our line graph.

Line Graphs In Action

For today's task we had to do a lines graphs action, and there was a line graph showing Covid cases per day for different countries in the world. We had to what we can tell from the line graph, we had to write 3 sentences what stars represents, how many days, and how many cases.   

 

Level 2 - Finding Fractions of a Whole

 

This is my 1/3 maths task level 2, on slide 3 we had to do fractions on slide 3. On slide number 4, we had to find out how many fractions.

Measuring Tapa Cloth

 

This is my Tapa Cloth task, the first thing we had to do was Measuring the Tapa Cloth. Like, what is the approximate width of the cloth? And, what is the approximate height of the cloth? Then we had to Rotate it clockwise 90 degrees, Rotate it anticlockwise 45 degrees, mark all the lines of symmetry, shade in 75% of the tapa cloth, and shade in 0.25 of the tapa cloth. Then we had to do the create task, we had to creat our own tapa cloth with patterns of our own culture identity.   

Taha Tinana: Fitness

 

We did a Taha challenge, and the challenge was Taha Tinana. We had to do a fitness, I did Star Jumps. I was gonna see how many Star Jumps I can do in one minute.

My Myths And Legends Passport

This is my Myths and Legends Passport, on this Passport it shows you what we've done. It's about what Teacher we wen't to on the first or second day, or what country's we have been learning about with all the Teachers in Team 5. Croatia Dragon's Eye Lake Poster

Today with Mrs Tele'a we did a Myth about Dragon's Eye Lake, and talked about how it was created.

JAMAICAN

For this task we did it with Whaea Kelly, and it was all about Jamaica and the Blue Mountain and Blue Mountain Coffee. That was our task with Whaea Kelly.

Cambodian Myth of Lightning, Thunder and Rain. Cambodian Myth.

In our next rotation, we wen't to Mrs Ilaoa. For this rotation we learnt about the city Cambodian, for our first task we had to do a Cambodian Myth of Lighning, Thunder and Rain. The gods names are, Moni Mekhala, Vorachhun and Ream Eyso. Moni Mekhala is the Goddes of the Seas, her Collection Method is a Scarf and her Gift is a Crystal Ball. The next one is Vorachhun, Vorachhun is the Prince manifest of Earth. His Collection Method is the Forest, and his gift is a sward. Next is Ream Eyso, Ream Eyso is the Demon god, his Collection Method is also the Forest, and his Gift is a Ax. 

And this is my Cambodian Myth, there is so many places in Cambodia. Like, Angkor Wat, Prasat Preah Vihear and many more. I hope you leave a comment!

Greek Mythology!

Today we learnt about Greek Mythology, and about the gods. We had to create a poster, my poster is on the last slide.

The Myth Of Hermes

Today for inquiry we learnt about Greek mythology. We learnt about the different Greek gods, the Greek creation story and about Hermes. When Hermes was a baby he invented fire and a lyre (a harp). See my stroy.

A World Of Difference!

Today, 20th of July. This Terms Theme is A World Of Difference, Mr Burt, Mr Sommerville, and Mr Jacobson shared everything about them selves. Team 1 is learning about what people do in other countries, like how they go to School, or what they eat. Next was Team 2, they where looking at New Zealand. (Dora The Explora) Next is Team 3, they did the Amazing Race and travelled around the word. After Team 3 was Team 4, Team 4's Movie was about where there Food came from.

 There learning where different foods come from, like. Sushi comes from China, or... Tacos come from Mexico, or Noodles also comes from China. Many many different foods comes from different Countries, after Team 4 was Team 5. We are learning about The Eel and the girl, we are going to do a animation about it. This is the Theme for Term 2!   

Adding Decimals

For this Maths task the Student Teachers to work on this adding Decimals slide deck, we had to answer the Decimal problem, like 8.9+1.2. It was really easy to do, when I was sick at home I worked on it.

Task Description: For today's maths task we where ordering Decimal numbers, we had to do smallest to biggest. It was really easy, but some of them were hard.

Understanding Decimals

Task Description: For today's Maths Task we did a decimat, the first thing we had to do is write the number is the boxes, then we had to colour the mat, after that we had to write it as a fraction in the green box.

Reflection About My Isolation

People that are in my isolation Bubble, my Mum, my Dad, my Brothers, my little Sister, and my Koro. During lockdown in our bubble we’ve been playing games, and some of those games are card games. Sometimes we play card games, sometimes we play ball games, and even play hide and seek or tag outside. Sometimes we even bake, during lock down I baked a Chocolate cake for my Nans Birthday. My Brother also had to have his Birthday in lockdown, but we got him a really cool present. We got him a Motorbike, but we have to wait for a few weeks.

Lockdown was quite boring, but I did read some books. I read a chapter every day, after I read a chapter I will do some School work. Sometimes I would talk to my friends on Gmail, every Morning we would go on our google meet with our Literacy Teachers. After we did that we would do our Literacy work, once we were finished we would have Break Fast. After Break Fast I would get change or have a shower and get ready, then I would brush my teeth then watch a Movie. During the afternoon we go to our Math Teacher, then we would do our Math work. After that we would just draw or text our friends, then we would have Lunch.

After lunch we would do our own things on our Chrome books, at three o’clock we would finish off some work or do other things on our chromebook. When it’s dinner time my Dad or Mum would make dinner for us, after Dinner we would have dessert or I would brush my teeth. When I finish brushing my teeth, I would watch some Youtube or I would put on a Movie. Once quarantine was over I would fold up my uniform and put it on my desk, then I would go find my shoes. That was my own life in my Bubble!

Narrative Writing

Once upon a time there was a small cottage, and in that small cottage were three girls called Rebekah, Aaliyah, and  Nina. They were watching a movie, but one of the girls was bored. ‘’I’m bored’’ said Rebekah.

But Aaliyah and Nina were not bored so they just continued watching the Movie, so Rebekah thinked and thinked, and from all that thinking she finnaly found something to do, ‘’I know!’’ said Rebekah. ‘’What?’’ Said Aaliah. ‘’What if we go on an adventure?’’ Said Rebekah.

The two girls thinked if they wanted to go on an adventure’’Ok!’’ said Aaliyah, ‘’It might be fun!’’ said Nina.

So Rebekah, Aaliyah, and Nina packed some lunch and water and went on their adventure.
The three girls left the house as fast as they can, ‘’Come on guys!’’ said Nina. ‘’Where coming!’’ said Rebekah.

The three girls went outside to the fresh air, the first they went across was a creepy creepy bridge. ‘’Come on guys!’’ said Aaliah, ‘’I don’t know’’ said Nina, ‘’We might fall through the holes!’’ said Nina. ‘’No we won’t’’ said Rebekah.

The three girls went across the bridge carefully, at last. They made it across! ‘’Yay! We made it across without falling!’’ said Aaliah.

The girls continued their adventure, but they felt really tired, ‘’Guys, I’m tired. Let’s have some water’’ said Rebekah, ‘’Yup! I’m really really thirsty’’ said Aaliah. ‘’Same with me’’ said Nina.

The three girls grabbed some cups and the ginormus water bottle, they poured the water in the cups and had a drink. ‘’This is nice and cold’’ said Rebekah. ‘’I agree’’ said Aaliah. ‘’Come on!’’ said Nina.

The three girls continued with their adventure, at last they reached their destination. The mountains, ‘’WOW!’’ said Rebekah.

The three girls climbed up the mountain with their climbing tools, at last the girls reached the top! ‘’WOW!!!’’ said Aaliah. ‘’THIS VIEW IS AMAZING!!!’’ said Nina. ‘’Come on guys, let’s have some lunch’’ said Rebekah. 

The three girls digged into their picnic, ‘’Mmm, this is so good!’’ said Aaliah.

When the three girls were finished with their lunch, they headed back home. The three packed up their stuff and found a way out, a few hours later they were home. ‘’Aah home sweet home’’ said Nina.

Congradualations To A Very Special Person

Congratulations To a very special person!!! 

Congratulations to a very successful and special person, MR .BURT!!! Yesterday, Mr Burt got an award from the Queen. It is a very special award, everyone is very very proud of him. He has worked really really hard, even for the parents that came to Point England School in the past.

Almost everyone in New Zealand came to Point England School,Auntys, Uncles, Mums, Dads, and even Cousins. He is the most hard working person at Point England School, today at Assembly we sang a song for Mr. Burt. After we sang a song, some of the boys in Team 5 did a haka.

The surprise was very, very special. It made Mr. Burt very very happy, Mr. Burt is the best Principal at Point England School.

Today is day 15 in lock down. In lock down I have been reading a chapter everyday, playing outside, and even watching movies. I've even been out to get some fresh air like, even riding my bike around the street. I've been helping my Dad out the backyard, i've been helping my dad cook dinner. So that's all iv'e been doing for the past few days.

Choose It Narrative

Once upon a time there were 4 girls called Julia, Phoenix, Le’shar, and Aaliyah. One day they were bored, so they went for a stroll around the street at 12:PM at night. They wanted to get some fresh air, they went so far that they found a big spooky  castle with a dragon. They were so scared, but the dragon trapped them in the spooky Tower. They tried to find a key, while they were looking around, they found a lever. So all four of them pulled the lever, when they pulled it, another lever showed up. But with the lever was a note, so they all read the clue. The clue said to find another lever that will lead them to the key, so they looked for it. Hours and hours of looking they found it, so they pulled it. It was big, it was scary, it was loud. Once the loudness and scariness was all over they found the key. But now they had to try to find another lever to unlock the castle to escape. But the lever was on the roof, luckily Phoenix could reach it, so she pulled it and they found the lock. So they all unlocked it with the key, and the castle door opened and they escaped! Finally they went back home.

My Life

My Life!!!

KIA Ora, my name is Julia, I am 11 years old turning 12 in September. This year I am a year seven, my friends are, Phoenix and Leshar. Phoenix is 11 years old, and Leshar is 11 years old as well. This year my teachers are, Mrs Stone, Mrs Moala, Miss Whaea Kelly, Ms Tapuke, Mrs Tele’a, and Miss Iloa. But my favourite teacher at Point England School is Miss Tuia. Miss Tuia is my favourite Teacher because she is really kind. My favourite sport is Softball. Softball is my favourite sport because I really like to play it every Saturday. My favourite foods are Pizza, McDonald's, KFC, Noodles, Homemade Spaghetti Bolognese, Homemade Bacon and Egg pies, Shrimp, Seafood, and many other foods. I have two brothers and a baby sister. My favourite colours are hot pink, red, neon yellow, blue, purple, neon green, violet, indigo, silver, gold, cropper red, bronze, and many other colors. My favorite subject in school is maths, maths is my favorite subject because I really like to figure out the problems. My house color in school is, Hine Moana, but the house colours are, Hikianalia, Hine Moana, Te Aurere, and Hokule’a. I really like to do art. When I grow up I want to be an artist and sell artworks. I have a pet dog, her name is shorty. I used to have a cat but it ran away. I also really like to dance. That is all about my life.
