Explanation Writing 2!

How to be a good brother or sister? Hi my name is Julia and In this writing I am going to tell you how to be a good brother or sister. Sometimes having Brothers and Sisters are pretty annoying, but I know to love them and look after them!

To be a good Brother or Sister you need to help them. You can help your siblings by helping them with their homework, or helping them with chores. For example, a good Sister will help their siblings fold the washing and help them do their chores around the house.

To be a good Brother or Sister you need to look after them. You can look after them by making them food, or make sure they have eaten. For example, a good sister will make food for their siblings if they are hungry.

To be a good Brother or Sister you need to share. You can share with them by sharing food, or share with a ball. For example, a good sister will share the ball with their siblings if they want a turn.

That is how you can be a good Brother or Sister, there are also more things you can do to be a good sister. For example, you can also love them, and encourage them to be good role models. Also teach them to show respect to other people. That is how you can be a good Brother or Sister, hope you enjoy my writing!

Explanation Writing!

Hi my name is Julia and I am going to talk about why we have school holidays. The School holidays are really fun, you can do fun things with your friends and family. Here are some things you can do during the holidays!

Cleaning the house.

You clean the house starting by cleaning your room, for example if the house is messy and no one is bothered to do it you can start by cleaning the lounge.

Finish off unfinished work.

In the holidays you can also finish off unfinished School work you haven’t finished in term 1. For example, if you're doing nothing and you're at home, you could finish all your work you haven’t finished.

That is what you can do during the Holidays, hope you enjoy!

ANZAC Day - We will remember them

For this task, we had to do questions about what does ANZAC stand for? What does ANZAC day honour? Why is it important to remember ANZAC Day? What reference does the Poppy have to ANZAC Day? After we did those questions we had to write an explanation about what the ANZAC Ode means. We had to include who are 'they' talked about in the first line, then we had to answer a question of why does it say 'age will not weary them'. After I answered that we had to do a writing activity, for that writing activity we had to write a message to someone as if we where in the war. When you where done with that we had to draw a Poppy.
