Best group, why? My best group was Hip Hop because everyone was dancing together and I like the dance moves.

Favourite part? My favourite part was performing our item on stage and watching the other cultural dances.

Something I learned? The one thing I learned was to smile while dancing and having expressions.

Next time....? Next time we do Fia Fia I would want to go into Kapa Haka

The CHRONICLES of NARNIA

              C. S. LEWIS

The Silver Chair

Chapter 1

Behind the Gym

It was a dull autumn day and Jill Pole was crying behind the gym. She was crying because they had been bullying her. This is not going to be a School story, so I shall say as little as possible about Jill's school, which is not a pleasant subject. It was Co-educational, a school for both boys and girls, what used to be called a ''mixed'' school; some said it was not nearly so mixed as the minds of the people who ran it. These people had the idea that boys and girls should be allowed to do what they liked.

Home learnig! Wk2!

 As Old As Time,

A Twisted Tail!

Chapter one, Once upon a Time...

Once upon a time in a faraway land, a young prince lived in a shining castle. Although he had everything his heart desired, the Prince was spoiled, selfish and unkind. But then, one winter's night, an old beggar woman came to the castle and offered him a single blood-red nose in return for shelter from the bitter cold. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince sneered at the gift and turned the old woman away-although she warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for true beauty is found within. And when he dismissed her again, the old woman's ugliness melted away to reveal a beautiful enchantress.

Homelearning! Literacy The CHRONICLES of NARNIA C. S. LEWIS. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe!

The CHRONICLES of NARNIA C. S. LEWIS

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe!

Chapter 1, Lucy Looks into a Wardrobe

Once there were four children whose names where Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy. This story is about something that happened to them when they were sent away from London during the war because of the air-raids. They were sent to the house of an old Professor who lived in the heart of the country, ten miles from the nearest railway station and two miles from the nearest post office. He had no wife and he lived in a very large house with a housekeeper called Mrs Macready and three servants. (Their names were Ivy, Margaret and Betty, but they do not come into the story much.) He himself was a very old man with shaggy white hair which grew over most of his face as well as on his head, and they liked him almost at once; but on the first evening when he came out to meet them at the front door he was so odd-looking that Lucy (who was the youngest) was a little afraid of him, and Edmund (who was the next youngest) wanted to laugh and had to keep on pretending he was blowing his nose to hide it.

Explanation Writing 2!

How to be a good brother or sister? Hi my name is Julia and In this writing I am going to tell you how to be a good brother or sister. Sometimes having Brothers and Sisters are pretty annoying, but I know to love them and look after them!

To be a good Brother or Sister you need to help them. You can help your siblings by helping them with their homework, or helping them with chores. For example, a good Sister will help their siblings fold the washing and help them do their chores around the house.

To be a good Brother or Sister you need to look after them. You can look after them by making them food, or make sure they have eaten. For example, a good sister will make food for their siblings if they are hungry.

To be a good Brother or Sister you need to share. You can share with them by sharing food, or share with a ball. For example, a good sister will share the ball with their siblings if they want a turn.

That is how you can be a good Brother or Sister, there are also more things you can do to be a good sister. For example, you can also love them, and encourage them to be good role models. Also teach them to show respect to other people. That is how you can be a good Brother or Sister, hope you enjoy my writing!

Explanation Writing!

Hi my name is Julia and I am going to talk about why we have school holidays. The School holidays are really fun, you can do fun things with your friends and family. Here are some things you can do during the holidays!

Cleaning the house.

You clean the house starting by cleaning your room, for example if the house is messy and no one is bothered to do it you can start by cleaning the lounge.

Finish off unfinished work.

In the holidays you can also finish off unfinished School work you haven’t finished in term 1. For example, if you're doing nothing and you're at home, you could finish all your work you haven’t finished.

That is what you can do during the Holidays, hope you enjoy!

ANZAC Day - We will remember them

For this task, we had to do questions about what does ANZAC stand for? What does ANZAC day honour? Why is it important to remember ANZAC Day? What reference does the Poppy have to ANZAC Day? After we did those questions we had to write an explanation about what the ANZAC Ode means. We had to include who are 'they' talked about in the first line, then we had to answer a question of why does it say 'age will not weary them'. After I answered that we had to do a writing activity, for that writing activity we had to write a message to someone as if we where in the war. When you where done with that we had to draw a Poppy.

Planner - Creative Writing

One day a kid came home from School and went on a walk, she walked so far away from home. Just a couple hours later she arrived in a foggy and cold place, luckily she had her jumper so she put it on. Then she kept walking around, just a few hours later walking around the spooky place, she found a huge animal skeleton lying on the ground. She climbed on top of the animal skeleton, “It kinda looks like a huge scorpion” she then climbed on it,she had really fun walking and balancing on it. She wondered what type of animal skeleton it was, so she headed back home and searched up “Animal Skeleton”.

And what popped up in wikipedia was scary, there were three scary facts about that Animal Skeleton. Fact number1:It could come back alive, Fact number 2:It could kill you, and Fact number 3:NEVER climb on it! The kid was terrified, just because she climbed on top of the skeleton. One night, the kid went to sleep. While she was sleeping, she had really bad nightmares.

Her nightmares were about the Animal Skeleton, she said that the Animal Skeleton came back to life. Like she said, “It kinda looks like a huge scorpion”. And it was, she was really scared! She ran for her life, and before she knew it the scorpion had already eaten her. But luckily it was all a dream, once she found out it was a dream she never went on long walks ever again. A day later without taking walks after School, she felt really safe.

Attitude

Today, Jana came back to Point England School and Team 5 to do a attitude talk, last year the Year 7 and 8 girls had a puberty talk, and was talking about all human body parts and how we were all growing. But in this attitude talk we all talked about 4 different personality types, Otter, the entertainer, Lion, the director, Golden Retriever, the peacemaker, and the Beaver, the facilitator. I think out of the 4 personality's, I am a Beaver, the facilitator. A facilitator is a person who helps a group of people to work together better, in doing so, the facilitator remains "neutral", meaning they do not take a particular position in the discussion. But sometimes I think I am a Golden Retriever, the peacemaker.

A peacemaker is a person or a group of people that tries to make peace, especially by reconciling parties who disagree, quarrel, or fight. I was so happy to see Jana again this year!

Adding Decimals 2.5!

This is my adding Decimals 2.5!

Adding Decimals 1.5!

This is my 3rd maths task for this week!

Explanation Writing 3!

 T:Covid-19!

I:Hi! My name is Julia, and in this explanation writing I am going to talk about Covid-19! Last year was a really tough year when Covid-19 came around, when it went away everyone was glad! But this year Covid-19 is coming back into our country and we need to stay safe, wear face masks, sanitise and stay at home!

Info1:Stay home:
Covid-19 is back in New Zealand, so make sure to stay home and keep safe. There should only be one shopper per house just so everyone can keep safe. For example if you don’t stay home, you most likely could get the virus. So make sure you stay home!

Info2:Wear face masks:

You have to stay home, but whenever the shopper in your house is going out to get groceries, or you and your family are going on a morning walk make sure to wear a facemask everytime you or your shopper is going outside the house! A face mask is something to cover up your face so you don’t get the Covid, so make sure you wear one. For example, if you're 2 metres away from someone, and you guys are talking, if you wear a facemask you won’t get their germs!

Info3:Social distancing

Whenever you're outside your house or at School, make sure you keep your distance from other people and only stay 2 metres apart. If you don’t stay 2 metres away from them, you could get the virus, or even they could get the virus! So make sure you stay 2 metres away, and wear a facemask!

C:So this is my writing about Covid-19! Make sure you social distance, wear a face mask and stay home. And even sanitize and cough and sneeze in your elbow! Those are few things to not get the virus and stay safe!

Adding Decimals 2!

This is my second decimals task for this week! What I did was turning the subtraction problems into addition problems. This is a easier way to solve hard subtraction problems!
